Cambridge opened in 1995 as a Title Insurance and Settlement Services Company. The founder, Lisa Nelson, wanted to offer not only the traditional title and settlement but experience in the entire real estate transaction.
Starting in the industry on the lending side working for banks and brokers I quickly saw a disconnect with the closing process. Having the loan cleared to close but the buyer and sellers were not ready. The title was not cleared, no payoffs were ordered, judgments were not cleared and generally, all parties were disconnected. This can cost the buyer and seller money and create further havoc with moving deadlines and family schedules.
We offer a knowledgeable staff that not only knows the title and settlement process but is also experienced in the lending process as well. This added to our signature service we offer in which we also act as support for all parties involved in the transaction from beginning to end. Staying in contact will all parties involved helps to avoid any problems and insures an accurate and timely closing.
